I found it best to get there before the sun set but then it takes around another 40 mintes for it to get dark enough to see the worms...

Pay attention to the parking, don't be a dick to the residents (or other vistitors)

But then it's worth it. But don't expect fireworks.

The walk does take about an hour return and the path isn't well sign posted.

Its a little bit of a walk and can be muddy/slippery after rain so if you have small ones be ready to carry them.

Nice place to visit, get there after dark and carry a torch and wear a good walking shoes. It is a 2km up and down trail from the end of William street and the trail might get muddy during rain. Lots of stairs.

There is a deck etc at the view area, and around 15 steps (2 landings) so if you are older be ready for walking up ( or down) the stair in the dark. after the walk through the bush

Got there just before dark. Only one glow worm was out. Over the next 40 or so minutes they all came out. Really peaceful and beautiful.

A good tourist place, but make sure you visit well after sunset as the glow worms don't look very bright otherwise.
